All of these factors improve a person’s ability to respond to a potentially challenging or hazardous situation. Epinephrine and norepinephrine also cause a faster heart rate.

Stressors are environmental factors that trigger this reaction. Examples include exciting experiences, aggressive behavior, loud noises, scary moments in movies, a speeding car, or even going out on a date. The number of stressors increase the feelings of stress.

How can I manage my stress?
